into the rhythm...
In the short chop, the bigger yachts exerted themselves over the smaller waterline yachts. Once again Chong Wei Yong's Ker 32 Discover Sailing Asia - Getaway Ichi dominated on the first two races, but were caught offside when the conditions changed and could only manage 6th place on Race 3. They are still head and shoulders above everyone in the IRC A class and well on their way to claiming this years title. After two slow races Calvin Lim Zhi Yang's J24 Quarterdeck bounced back to claim the third race victory but is slowly slipping down the order.
The big mover on Day 2 is Alexi Lim Zongwei's Platu 25 SMUMAD, with 2nd and two 3rd places, to take over second overall in Class A and the lead in Class B. With a score line of 4th and two 2nd places Kurt Metzger's Nelson 10 Waka Tere improves to fourth overall but has a lot of work to do, to overtake Yang's Quarterdeck for third overall.
Rapidly rising up the order, Alexi Lim Zongwei's Platu 25 SMUMAD takes over the lead in Class B from Calvin Lim Zhi Yang's J24 Quarterdeck by one point. Kurt Metzger's Nelson 10 Waka Tere moves up into third overall but is four points adrift of second place.
Tomorrow is the final day of racing and the start time has been moved forward by an hour, to fit in as many races as possible before packing up the boats and ready for the gala dinner and prize presentation.
Also the remote controlled yachts have a day of racing and the Optimist and Lasers finish their series.
