Dec 12th 2018: After scoring a whopping 19 points at the Royal Langkawi Int Regatta, Ray Roberts TP52 Team Hollywood became the "Highest AYGP Scorer" at the regatta, and also extends their lead in the 2018-19 AsianYachting Grand Prix (AYGP) Rankings, over the 2017-18 Champions, Fred Kinmonth/Nick Burns GTS 43 Mandrake III by 20.5 points, with 5 regattas to go, before the prestigious 2018-19 AYGP Skipper and Yacht of the Year are awarded. They both have competed on 4 point scoring events this season and further progress will depend on which of the remaining 5 events they compete in. Despite low scoring with only 3 entries in the Multihull Class, John Newnham Firefly 850 Sports Twin Sharks and Dan Fidock’s Moore 36 Fugazi climb up into 3rd and 4th respectively and are still within reach of the leaders.

Goto Nongsa Neptune Regatta Next up the Nongsa Neptune Regatta (February 2nd - 9th), is under new management, Prakash Reddy and the Nongsa Point Marina team, have upgraded the 'Race to the Equator' program, with a new stopover at Telunas Island on the way home and completes the Western Circuit, for the 2018-19 AYGP Season.

Goto Subic Bay Regatta Notice of RaceAs racing then swings back to the Eastern Circuit, the Philippine, Hong Kong and Chinese teams have a chance to improve their rankings on the 200nm Subic Bay Around Verde Island Passage Race and including the Subic Bay Cup Regatta. With the SEA Games coming in November, the one design FarEast 28 class are available for charter to National teams, for Match & Fleet racing between 24th Feb to Mar 2nd. This event is now the 9th 2018-19 AYGP point scoring event this season. The Notice of Races are available Here:..

Goto Chairman's Cup Also in the Philippines, the Chairman’s Cup Regatta 2019 will be replacing the Commodores’ Cup Regatta (CCR) scheduled on April 26-30, 2019, straight after the inaugural Hong Kong to Puerto Galera Yacht Race has finished. The Subic Sailing Club is considering a feeder race from Puerto Galera designed to encourage participating Hong Kong Skippers and Yachts, for another round of competitive AYGP racing in Subic Bay, before heading back to Hong Kong.
