Feb 18th 2019: By winning four races at the Nongsa Neptune Regatta and scoring 14 points in the six boat Cruising Class, John Inglis Boers Ron Holland 44 Sangaree becomes the "Highest AYGP Scorer" at the regatta and enter the 2018-19 AsianYachting Grand Prix (AYGP) Rankings, in a respectable 44th place, out of 270 Skippers scored this season. Although Jonathan Mahony HYD 42 Zanzibar also won 4 races, but having only two yachts in the IRC Class, they low score with 8 points and enter in equal 99th place with 21 other Skippers. Both Xavier Glenard / Damien Geoffray's Kaze and Scott McCook / Alice Lim's Abracadeborah Too, scored 12 points and immediately slot into 56th place with 6 other skippers.

Goto AYGP Skipper RankingsThe big movers are Max Palleschi's IOR Farr 40 Prime Factor and Alfie Rowson / Liz Schoch's Fraser 41 Astraeus. After contesting 5 events and despite low scoring at the Nongsa Neptune Regatta, Max Palleschi leap frogs Chris Mitchell's Naut 40 Lady Bubbly into 5th place. Liz Schoch adds onto her Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek result and moves from 175th place, to equal 44th place with 5 other Skippers. These are important moves, as Skippers want to finish the season higher up the order, in the race to become the 2018-19 AYGP Skipper and Yacht of the Year.

Goto AYGP Skipper RankingsNo change at the top with Ray Roberts TP52 Team Hollywood, having a 20.5 point lead over the reigning 2017-18 Champions, Fred Kinmonth/Nick Burns GTS 43 Mandrake III, but that may all change, as the racing swings over to the Eastern Circuit, where the Philippine, Hong Kong and Chinese teams have a chance to improve their rankings.
