December 1st 2017: Second overall in the IRC 1 class, at the Raja Muda Regatta last week and after contesting 3 events this season, Fred Kinmonth/Nick Burns Sydney GTS 43 Otonomos Mandrake III, take over top spot from Nick Southward's J-109 Whisky Jack by 7.5 points and lead the 2017-18 AYGP Rankings. By winning all eight IRC 4 races and scoring maximum 18 points, David Fuller and the chartered Beneteau 44.7 Fujin enter the AYGP Rankings in a creditable 9th place. As they expect to repeat the dose at the King's Cup next week, further advances are likely to continue.

Goto 2017-18 AYGP siteOther improvements from the Raja Muda Regatta, include last years runner up Chris Mitchell's Naut 40 Lady Bubbly's second event and slotting into 4th place, while victory in the Premier Cruising Class for Geoff Hill's Smith 72 Antipodes elevates them into 10th place. Racing class victory for Sarab Singh's Welbourn 52 Windsikher II is their first scoring event this season and earn 14 points, to enter in 27th place, out of the 194 skippers, that have already scored this season.

Regatta (Jan 8th - 13th) and Neptune Regatta (Feb 10th - 17th), giving the early leaders on the Western Circuit, John Newnham's Firefly 850 Twin Sharks, Ray Roberts TP52 Team Hollywood, Niels Degenkolw's X3/4 Ton MK2 Phoenix, Alan Carwadine's Stealth 11.8 Asia Catamarans Hurricane and Neil Ayre's Pulse 600 Java Racing big chances to improve their standings and take over the leader board.
