Swan 46 MK II (Hull No 094) - La Samudra II

Yacht forsale Swan 46 MK IIMore than a 100 Swan 46's were built and makes it the most successful Swan, ever produced to this day. With the MK II, designer German Frers made some major changes, with a new keel bulb, elliptical rudder, three spreader rig and more spacious interior. Forcing Frers to admit, the long production run, was because he couldn't design a better boat for Nautor, in this size range, that would perform up to its rating. La Samudra II has all these attributes and more, she is the most luxurious and best equipped 46, that ever left the yard. She has been owned by only one couple, pampered like a pet, never been chartered, done the occasional race with low mileage and only offered for sale for health reasons. Would be suitable for the 2023 Ocean Globe Race (OGR) in the Adventure Class.

La Samudra was conceived, laid out and equipped for short handed cruising by a couple, as well as serious racing. The main halyard, anchor winch and secondary deck winches are electric. The headsail and mainsail furlers are hydraulic and all can be operated by push button from the aft steering cockpit. For serious racing, she has a removable Lewmar pedestal grinder on the bridge deck, linked to two oversized stainless steel Lewmar 700/3 primary winches. She has a hydraulic back stay, boom vang, baby-stay, inner fore-stay, each with their own readouts. There are four 20/20 B&G repeaters on the mast.

The interior furnishings are nothing less than spectacular and in mint condition. The interior lay-out of this boat has two guest cabins forward, each with its own access to the shower/head compartment, while the owners cabin aft has the exclusive use of its own head/shower compartment, which is accessible from the saloon. The boat has a serious air-conditioning system, delivering a total of 33000 BTU from three stations. The navigation station has been the owners pride and joy and is extremely well laid out, with uncluttered placement of equipment.
