Sail Indonesia website July Start - Sail Indonesia
For the 18th year, this event has progressively turned South East Asian waters into a world class cruising destination. Recent editions are a collaborative effort to promote the navigational route from Darwin, Australia, through the Indonesian archipelago ending up in Singapore. The rally starts in Darwin and this year during the following three months all participants are invited to participate in a linked series of Events and Cultural Festivals at the different stopovers across Indonesia on the islands of Timor, Banda, Lembata, Wakatobi, Flores, Sulawesi, Bali, Java, Borneo, Belitung and finally on to Batam or Bintan just south of Singapore. Participants will be able to see some of the more remote, interesting and less developed parts of Indonesia as you cross the country often away from the well worn tourist areas. The CAIT (Cruising permit for Indonesia) has been abolished, so expect swift port clearances and Gala celebrations in Darwin cultural visits to neighboring island villages along the way. Described by past participants as "Too much fun, very helpful and an informative introduction to sailing through Indonesia". Goto Puerto Galera Yacht ClubEarly November - All Souls Regatta
Organised by the Puerto Galera Yacht Club, the All Souls Regatta was first held in 2004 and has quickly become the most popular regatta in the Philippines. The courses are set mostly around island marks and the photographic opportunities are superb. As this event attracts international cruising yachts as well as local yachts, it kick starts the newly formed 5 regatta Philippine Championships. Anyone who turns up at the skippers briefing and wants to sail, will be found a crew place on a yacht. More info & NOR Tel: +63 43 287 3401 Visit: or Email Race Committee at
