As
a result of informing our subscribers that the PD World Marina
Resort waterfront property and marina was up for tender, a
syndicate of sailors, businessmen and land developers was formed and
with less than a weeks notice, a tender was lodged for all the vacant
land and water lots by the close of tenders on Friday 27th June. Over
the next two weeks the successful tenders will be announced and we will
attempt keep you updated on the progress here... Amongst other things
it is expected to turn part of the site into a decent pleasure yacht
marine facility with 5 acres of hardstand area, workshops, paint booth,
travel lift, chandlery shops, clubhouse and full marina berthing facilities.
PD World Marina Resort - Up for Tender
A
unique opportunity has arisen in Malaysia
KPMG Corporate Services Sdn Bhd are presently accepting tenders on Fifty
Six (56) unique acres of mixed waterfront leasehold land (See
Diagram) situated within the never completed PD World Marina
Resort project in Port Dickson, Malaysia. The choice lots were previously
approved for condominiums, hotel convention center, marina club house,
tourism and cultural centers. The entire waterway is also up for tender
as Lot 1329.
Your big chance to own waterfront property with private marina facilities to set up your own marine base in SE Asia. Incorporating boat haul out facilities, hardstand maintenance areas and private marina berths in front of your condominium or hotel room, presents further business opportunities. The entire waterway aspects were completed several years ago and has either granite rock or sheet pile walls around the perimeter. Existing
high rise condominium units and apartment blocks line the inner basin
area with a brick paved public walking area around the perimeter. Each
villa block has there own car park, swimming pool and recreation areas,
although after being under receivership since the 1997 Asian financial
crises the upkeep and maintenance leaves something to be desired. Many
unsold apartments including some penthouse condominium units that have
never been occupied before are also up for individual tender.
Port Dickson is the closest beach resort town to Kuala Lumpur and has the only decent marina facilities to keep a boat within reach of KL residents. As it is an ideal spot to train and examine sailors wanting to make a career out of sailing - Apartment B-1-8 Straits View at PD World Marina (See enlarged Location Map and Goggle aerial photo on how to get there) serves as the AY Learn to Sail classroom and two Miri Magic 8m sportsboats are presently berthed in the marina and used during our AY Training Courses.
